Challenge and Adventure Retreats

Since 2001, Ramapo Challenge and Adventure Retreats have helped hundreds of urban and suburban schools and community-based youth service organizations to provide experiential programs that increase youth leadership skills, provide significant team-building experiences, promote conflict resolution strategies and promote recreation and comfortability in a natural outdoor setting.

Surveys of our partner schools and organizations indicate that 98% of participants rate Ramapo's service provision as excellent; our activities as well-planned and organized; and our program specialists as highly responsive and skilled facilitators.

Environmental Education Experiences

Ramapo’s newest initiative uses outdoor, teambuilding activities to teach environmental education concepts which support the New York State Living Environment curriculum. By combining environmental education experiences with team-building activities and initiatives, children will develop an appreciation for the world around them and skills that facilitate working together to find solutions to environmental issues.
