Directions

Camp Ramapo is located in the Hudson Valley region of New York State, 95 miles north of New York City. The camp is four miles east of the village of Rhinebeck, about 20 miles north of the city of Poughkeepsie.

VIA THE NEW YORK STATE THRUWAY: Take Exit 19/Kingston and follow signs to the Rhinecliff Bridge (Route 209-North). Cross the bridge, proceed to the 2nd traffic light, and turn right onto 9G-South. Continue about 3 miles to the Rt. 308 exit. Turn left off the ramp onto Rt. 308-East. Proceed for one mile and bear right onto the Rt. 52 fork. Continue 3/4 mile to the camp sign/entrance on the left.

VIA THE TACONIC STATE PARKWAY: Take the West Side Highway to the Henry Hudson Parkway to the Saw Mill River Parkway to the Taconic State Parkway north. (Or take the Sprain Parkway to the Taconic Parkway.) Exit at Pine Plains / Red Hook onto Rt. 199-West. Proceed 4 miles to the traffic light and stay left, onto Rt. 308-West. Proceed 3 miles and make a very sharp left onto Rt. 52. Continue 3/4 mile to the camp sign/entrance on the left.

FROM LONG ISLAND: Take the Throgs Neck or Whitestone Bridge to the Cross Bronx Expressway. Proceed to the Bronx River Parkway, then to the Sprain Parkway (and follow Taconic Parkway instructions above).

To reach camp by train, use the Amtrak trains which leave Penn Station, New York City, and stop in Rhinecliff, NY. This is a short and enjoyable trip of less than 2 hours. Taxis are available at the Rhinecliff station to bring you to camp. The ride is about 10 minutes, and costs about $12.
